Wine can be a terrifying subject for the uninitiated, fraught with mysterious procedures, mostly foreign vocabulary, and austere discussion about nuances in taste and aroma that you never knew could exist. It doesn’t have to be this way, however. This Critique is the continuing story of how I jumped into the world of wine headfirst. I hope that my readers find the information useful, entertaining and worthwhile.
I am starting this blog after having already written some five or six entries, so I will backdate those entries to reflect the actual date they were written. In the same vein, I will not materially edit those original posts, so that my maturation from utter newbie to reasonably competent wine geek will be apparent to all.
